The Sportsbook.com
Atlanta Grand Prix
at
Road Atlanta
The
2005 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) has got off to a flying
start. The second round took place at the famous Road
Atlanta road racing circuit in Georgia on the weekend of April
14th, 15th and 16th. It proved to be another venue
win for the all-conquering No.1 Champion Racing Audi R8 team led
by ex-F1 Grand Prix driver JJ Lehto and Marco Werner.
JJ Lehto posted his 22nd class win in an ALMS race tying the
record and also posted his
fourth win in a row at Road Atlanta.
Sportsbook.com sponsored the event and also sponsored their own
car in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class. The
car, a Mazda powered Courage, was driven by Jamie Bach and Guy
Cosmo to a great second in class in only their first outing!
Congratulations to them!
Sportsbook.com called on Angels to supply two teams of hospitality
and track girls to help with the event. The first
team worked on-track with the drivers and the second team
staffed the Sportsbook.com hospitality marquee. The Angels
team were there on the podium with the winning drivers and the
SportsBook.com team - along with a suitable amount of champagne!
One of the Angels team also started a race by dropping the flag!
The event was televised giving great exposure to Sportsbook.com
who's name was everywhere
on the track and great exposure to the Angels team. This
was also another successful event for Angels who delivered a
great team in Atlanta at short notice and yet another example of
how Angels can help promotions and hospitality at national and
international motorsport events.
