Promotions, Roadshows and Incentive
An ever broader range of successes for Angels
When
computer networking company Fibernet wanted to promote their latest
products and services, they needed to make an impact! So they
organised "Fibeerfest" a parody based on the theme of Germany's famous
beer festival Oktoberfest. Fibernet turned it into a networking
opportunity for their customers in the communications industry
accompanied, of course, by the odd stein or two of Bavaria's best!
In order to add some authenticity to the evening, Fibernet called upon
Angels to arrange four personality models to appear in traditional
Bavarian costume (which Angels sourced from the USA!) to accompany the
equally traditional Munich "umpah" band! The event was a
resounding success and Fibernet were able to achieve their goals as
evidenced by an exceptional turn-out. Check out the
Fibernet Fibeerfest Photo Gallery! Angels
have helped Fibernet with their customer events for several years
running - each of which has had a different theme.
Promotional work has been a mainstay of
Angels work for more than 20
years. The founder of Angels
Model and Promotion Agency has worked in the promotions business since 1976
and has been involved with
many
key international companies including John Players, Marlboro, State Express
555, Pepsi International, Coca Cola, Mobil Oil, Tilda, Rubicon,
GlaxoSmithKline (ex SmithKline Beecham), Pobjoy Mint, Walkers and more
recently the cellphone company T-Mobile to name but a few!
The range of promotional challenges tackled by Angels is extremely broad.
From simply sampling a product to the unassuming passer by to creating
publicity for television, radio and newspapers. For instance when BAT did
their market test launches for the return of the State Express 555 cigarette
to the UK market they sent a team of us flying around the country in hot air
balloons creating as much publicity as we could. This caught the
attention of many media folk and ended up on several news programs, in
newspapers and on local radio stations which in turn led to radio interviews
on the world of promotions.
Another
great achievement was for Coca Cola when Angels were involved in the amazing
reconstruction of Windsor Castle completely out of coca cola cans.
This was staged inside a huge Cash & Carry and, at the time, was the largest
display of Coca Cola cans in the world. When customers entered the
'Cola Castle" via the portcullis (which was large enough for an
elephant to walk under), they were greeted by Angels smiling faces
and given one of the coolest carbonated drinks in the world.
For Tilda Rice, Angels helped with the celebration of Diwali - the
Indian Festival
of
Lights (and a serious amount of fireworks) - one of the most important
religious festivals commemorating the triumph of good over evil. As part of
this event, homes are decorated, sweets are given away and thousands of
lamps are lit. Diwali also coincides with the harvest of the pure basmati
rice crop. The word basmati literally translates as the fragrant one and
this rice has long been prized for its cooking properties! Angels gave away
thousands of sweets and balloons on behalf of Tilda, across the UK, in
support of Tilda's basmati rice promotion campaign!
From roller skating in the
park giving out free samples, to taking journalists on test drives in new
and exciting cars - its all part of the Angels promotional world.
As
you can imagine,
Angels' promotion industry experience is second to none with an enviable
reputation for professional staff of the highest calibre. So you can rest
assured that working with Angels
means you have chosen a company with one of the best track records in the
business for promotional activities with considerable experience in making
any event successful.
One of Angels' current
promotional contracts is to work with Panasonic on a project to promote their new consumer
technology - including digital media
and digital cameras. As the key sponsor for the Toyota Formula 1 team, Panasonic are working with Toyota at their track days all over the UK.
Angels are helping to demonstrate Panasonic's new digital cameras by
providing a
"real time" photographic service to Toyota's customers who enjoy
experiencing Toyota cars at the UK's major motor racing circuits including
Silverstone and Brands Hatch. Panasonic's customers get "instant" prints
made using Panasonic digital photographic technology as a souvenir of their
day at the track with Toyota.
Another recent Angels
promotion featuring Formula 1 cars was done for Imation at
local branches of Dixons. Imation is a leading developer and
manufacturer of
removable data storage products sold in over 60 countries worldwide.
Imation’s offerings include magnetic
and optical products that are a key ingredient in much of the world’s
technology infrastructure – from corporate
data centers, to networks, to
small businesses,
to home users and the consumer. The promotion in Dixons stores was to build
awareness of Imation's products and this was done through their links with
Jordan Grand Prix. Imation had a Jordan F1 car in the stores and our
Angels staff were there to make sure that all customers in the store got to
see the car and as a consequence learn something about Imation and its
products. To encourage this, Imation ran a competition to win tickets
to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Providing staff and management for incentive programmes and incentive trips at home and abroad has been a staple of Angels business since its foundation. Angels staff have travelled the UK and the world in support of corporate sales reward programmes including the Americas, the Far East,
Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Angels understands the needs of these events and their participants and knows how important it is to be on the ball from early in the morning to late at night. Angels understands how to organise and run everything from mealtimes, cocktail receptions for up 800 people and many parallel
daytime events such as shopping trips, sightseeing and golf matches.
Companies such as Hepworth Heating and GlowWorm have used Angels for multiple events over multiple years. More recently, Angels helped to staff an international conference for 4000 members of Andersen Consulting held in New Orleans where 14 hotels were used simultaneously.
Angels has also helped with local incentive lunches and dinners and has helped companies in high technology businesses with sales kick-off events and global sales meetings. This has varied from providing motivated and professional staff right through to organising the entire event including the conference and surrounding social events, dinners and award ceremonies.
Angels really can make a difference to your business events.
