The Ryder Cup
2006 The K Club, County
Kildare, Ireland
Europe 18.5 - USA 9.5
Another Fantastic Win for Europe! Congratulations!
Another Success for
Angels!
The 2006 Ryder Cup matches played
in September at The K Club in Ireland were a huge success for
both the event itself and for Ireland. The largest and most
important golfing event in the world again broke all records -
with Europe matching the winning margin record set by Bernhard
Langer's team in
2004.
Captain Ian Woosnam claimed the trophy for Europe as his team
won for the fourth time in the last five Ryder Cup events.
The US were outclassed as Europe won all five sessions of team
and singles matches for the first time.
Angels
provided a team of over 25 staff to host the Official PGA and
Ryder Cup Limited VIP hospitality in the prestigious hospitality
area right next to the 18th green and next to the K Club's
Palmer club house - scene of all of the post event celebrations
seen by millions live on TV. Over the six days of
the event, the
Angels team received a huge number of compliments and plaudits for the service they provided. Starting at
6:30am and sometimes not finishing until 7:00pm at night, each day tries the best of people and the
whole Irish Angels team came through with flying colours.
Angels would like to thank the whole Irish Angels Ryder Cup
Team
for a fantastic job done!
